To stop home foreclosure can be a tricky deal.  Having help is one of the best ways to go and hiring a lawyer or talking to a Loan Officer to see if they can help might be in your best interest.

Everybody is not born with a silver spoon in their mouth.  All of us less fortunate do have times when it can be hard to make the payments.

I know it has been extremely challenging for me the past couple of years.  Cutting corners everywhere I can to be able to make the mortgage payment.  For example using rabbit ears for free TV.

More and more of us are falling behind on our mortgage payments and as a result are facing foreclosure issues.  Obama's Loan Modification and Mortgage Modification Plans have been a big flop, so what are the alternatives to save the house?

There are ways to stop home foreclosure and keep you house a little longer.  You can stop home foreclosure by yourself but that can be a scary road to take.  You can hire a lawyer but if you had the money to hire a lawyer wouldn't you be making your mortgage payment instead?

Here are some basic steps to stop home foreclosure :

Send your lender a hardship letter.  This may delay the foreclosure process long enough for you to get a job or find one with higher pay.  This might allow you to catch up on the payments so you can keep your house.

Avoiding the foreclosure notice  - Can get a little extra time.

My number one way to stop home foreclosure is request a hearing in court.  With how clogged up the court system is this can take months to years for your case to be heard.

Try to refinance or borrow the money from a relative to catch the payments up.  This is really one of the best ways to stop home foreclosure.  Getting help now can be critical and can make the difference in saving your home or losing it.  If you currently have a FHA home loan you might be able to get a streamlined FHA refinance loan.  The biggest mistake is waiting till you are to far behind for anyone to help you.  Talk to more than one person and see what they can do for you.

I hope these ideas help, there is no guarantee they will work.

Watch out before you sign anything.  Don't be tricked in signing over the title to your house.
